Race Worn Jersey

Just a few hours ago, Peter was wearing this jersey as he sprinted to victory in the final stage of the Tour of California. A wonderful souvenir for our collection from a very talented, nice rider who has a very bright future ahead of him!

But … there’s more to the story …

This one may have set a new record for quickest delivery after a race. He literally won the race, circled back to the finish line, then went into the green room. Before he drank any water, spoke with anyone from the press or went to the podium, he stripped off the jersey, signed and dated one of the numbers and it was in my hands. From the time he got off his bike to the time I was the new caretaker of his jersey: 2 minutes - tops!
